“What happens if there is a fire in the fire escape?” one of the many questions Laurie pondered over as a little junior, along with other things this has dogged time for most of his time at C.H. The phrase “White man can’t run” comes to mind but seems to have been thrown out of the window by Laurie’s pace on the rugby pitch, and off usually running away from someone bigger and stronger than him. His sporting influence in Rugby, Hockey, Cricket and Athletics in fact any sport under the sun has been admirable. Being head of the Army finally gave Laurie some power but seems to have influenced his interest in Counter Strike. Until his U.F. Laurie had no need for girls but then seemed to become a bit of a ‘playa’ clocking up the tally pretty quickly. I’m sure all of his girl fan club will miss him when he’s gone.
