Of his many attributes, sport was a very prominent one. Most memorable are his Zamora-esque performances playing football, unfortunately cut short by a crippling disease, and cricket. Hugo is or rather was the protégé of a certain cricket coach after whom he is more affectionately known. He was hailed as a star of the future but his ability to give away his wicket like Santa Clause giving away presents, led to his demise in the eyes of his “adopted father”. Having endured many years of snide comments about linseed oil and stumps, he still denies that anything goes on in the cupboard in the sports centre. Yeah, nice one!! Aside from this, Hugo is a genuinely nice bloke with very few failings. Good luck in later life, Les.
